Security concerns surrounding Bollywood superstar Salman Khan have resurfaced after a 23-year-old man attempted to enter his residence, Galaxy Apartment, in Bandra, Mumbai. The incident occurred on the evening of May 20, when the accused, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh from Chhattisgarh, tried to sneak into the building by hiding behind a vehicle belonging to a resident.
Despite the actor’s Y+ security detail in place since the firing incident last year, the man managed to breach the initial level of security. He was caught by the building's security personnel before he could get close to the actor’s apartment. Singh reportedly told police during questioning that he only wanted to meet Salman and attempted to bypass the security because "the police were not letting me meet him."
A case has been registered against the intruder under Section 329(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Bandra police are continuing the investigation. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine how the man managed to reach so close to the premises unnoticed.
The incident has once again raised questions about the adequacy of security arrangements, especially since Salman Khan has received multiple threats in recent years. While no harm was done this time, officials are treating the incident seriously and considering additional precautions to avoid future breaches.
